Me with Jyoti Display Pvt Ltd 2019

Well, it is a nice experience at Jyoti display a Digital signage Solutions Company in India. It has a nice setup of all the machinery for manufacturing Digital and Static Signage.

My journey started with April 2019 with HR interview and then Final round with Managing Director Jiban Datta, I got selected for handling all digital marketing and platform under the house.

At the Earlier stage, I tried to understand the product from scratch again and collect helpful data. With the marketing team Miss Nisha and Mr Jitesh, we made a small meeting on what is going on and what next in a row.

I was new so learning everyone’s speciality and perfections in selected fields. Then we got Mr Nitin Waman (Head of Marketing)next who takes reports and later processes it to Mr Datta (The MD of Jyoti Display Pvt Ltd). It took me a few days and week too to understand the products and recent Clients requirements.

Introducing some of the Products:-

  • Digital Signage Solutions: It is an evolution of traditional Static Signage with electronic and software technology in the same. The most preferred product is vertical Digital Signage Display where a Commercial Display embedded inside a metal Enclosure, as Floor Standee or Wall Mounted as per Clients requirement.   • Wayfinding Signage: its sounds like a rare species of the market but yes it is. It’s normally a product used at megacities, Metro Stations, Airports, Malls, Mega Hospitals and Institutes. MARKETING V/S ADVERTISING

There is a kind of miss understanding in the Business Industry about Marketing and Advertising.

In this page I am trying to clear the concept of the topic called Marketing v/s Advertising. Before that let me confuse you with some reality.

  • Marketing and Advertising are two very different terms.
  • Some time Marketing is totally Opposite of Advertising.
  • Without marketing process, Advertising cannot get happened.
  • Marketing is the Father of Advertising,

So let get on the mark, Marketing v/s Advertising

Marketing and Advertising are two very different terms, Marketing is the basic need of Business, but Advertising isn’t the need for every Business. Marketing is a set of various tools such as Research of need and demand, selecting the right Market for Business. Understanding the right need and potential of demands and consumer behavior which influences the investors to establish an Organisation or Company to fulfill the demands.

So basically it requires a productive research and a healthy finance support to build an Organization with various responsibilities and manpower. I would like to call Marketing as a Science not an Art.

In this process the communication takes place Market to Organization. Marketers understand the knowledge of how market is working and brings out the missing element for the audience. Here manufacturers produce the goods based on researched idea.

 

For eg: Lizzat Papad, in earlier days there were rarely any papad producers were available in the Market. Team Lizzat recognized the need and absence of Papad in the market and came up with healthy manpower and quality products.

This is what Marketing appears like, Here information or knowledge flow from Market to :::} the Manufacturers/Producers.

Now let’s get to Advertising,

Advertising comes later in the process, only when it is required.

Sometime a well planned and managed Marketing team is enough to create good returns from a specific market. But due to rise in competitions within different brands of similar goods producers or services providers, Advertising comes in the existing. I would like to call it lesser Science and more of Arts.

Advertising has different phases,

At some instance, Advertising is for Public awareness, Brands visibility, Product introductions in Market, to tackle the competition, managing the issues related with brand, and mostly representing the brand superior than others and increasing the list of Potential customers.

Basically Advertising is process of 2-way communication. In this Advertiser do their brand advertising with the help of Traditional media such as Print, Radio, Television commercials or Modern media like Digital media, Internet Social media and tries to positioned their Brand with unique message in the mind of Consumers. Takes efforts to generate positive Feedbacks about products. Here even a zero response is considered as feedback from the market/consumers.

Marketing was enough in olden days of Business, but in today’s generation without Advertising Marketing is incomplete.

Bottom Line: In marketing information flows from Market/consumers to the Manufacturers/Organizations.

And,

In Advertising, Information or message get delivers from Manufacturers/Advertisers to target Consumers/market with the help of medium.

Medium can be Traditional or Digital.
